On Wednesday 13th September Fanwood was host to 18 members of Zurich Insurance for a corporate workday,
Zurich kindly gave the team a budget of £500, which they used to purchase some fence posts and postcrete.
They installed the fence posts in the Nature Area along the rear boundary, with the intention that we will now complete the lateral fencing as required.
They also planted some plants in this area and created a log stumpery which should provide a wildlife habitat.
Other tasks completed include:
- Installation of newly acquired “one Way” Signage
- Sanding down and painting 6 of the newly acquired benches
- Rehanging gates needing attention
- Usual grass cutting, hedge trimming, sweeping, and leaf blowing in all areas.
A massive thanks to the guys from Zurich for giving up their usual workday to come and volunteer with us.
